What we like: The site exudes the visual excitement that is professional sports. Scores, bold headlines, schedules, action photos…it’s all here and it reminds you how much is going on at any given time.
I cannot believe that TSN.ca would be even considered as one of Canada’s Top 50 websites. I had to give up on this site after being constantly frustrated with several aspects of the site including the numerous spelling mistakes (even on the main page), a sub-par RSS feed that gives only headlines and forces the user to visit the site to get any part of the article, the fact that all of the pages feel overly cluttered, the intrusive advertisements, and the incredibly small video player. TSN would do better to improve the user experience on their site rather than focusing on embarrassments like having a monkey predict who will win each NHL playoff series.
Hey John, thanks for your comment. Opinions are welcome! At the present we don’t analyze the usability, spelling/grammar or RSS feeds of each of the sites. Selecting from Canada’s hundreds of thousands of sites on a more superficial basis is challenge enough (at least for now!). That said, we don’t have a problem with the “clutter”. And clicking on the video player brings you to a whole other media section with nice streamlined navigation. Finally, if you have examples of better sites (in this case sports-related) feel free to suggest them using the link at the top of the page. Thanks again!
